This is an ambient Recording using natural sounds from the Jungle in Mexico.
I recorded this album in the Jungle in Yelapa, Jalisco Mexico. All the music was recorded in the jungle using natural ambience from the the environment. In particular is "Night of the Puma" because I was visited by a black panther at about 4:30 am. I tried to record the scream that this animal was making, but it was too quiet for my Microphone. The ambience that is on this track includes the panther. On the track "Horses like to Swim my son Luther is playing alto recorder. He kept playing this melody, which I am sure was coming from the Jungle, so I had to record it. He was about 8 years old at the time. The person we were staying with, Jarrett Lewis did a beautiful job adding flute, clarinet and sax, after we searched the village searching for a microphone. We finally found an SM-58 (excellent microphone) and a really funky mic stand.
